VOLUNTEER MANAGEMENT

Case Study: Hartford Marathon - Rosterfy

Rosterfy take a look at why Hartford Marathon selected Rosterfy over more generic registration systems.

Hartford Marathon Foundation is a not for profit organization whose mission is to promote healthy living through fitness and physical activity for people of all ages, abilities, ethnicities, gender identities, and to use HMF events to support charity, sustainability, tourism and economic growth in communities.

With over 3,500 volunteers required to support HMF's extensive calendar of events, providing an engaging and professional experience is critical to the organisations success.

The Background

Frustrated by the lack of depth they were getting from participant registration software they were using to manage their volunteers, Hartford Marathon Foundation enlisted Rosterfy in 2019 to help provide a more seamless and specialist end to end experience for their volunteers and administrators.

The Result

With a small (but mighty) team, HMF has been able to execute over 60 annual volunteer led events with only one volunteer manager.

In particular, HMF enjoys the templated communications, which through Rosterfy are automated helping to drive efficiency whilst maximising engagement for volunteers. The ability to pull comprehensive reports at any given time has also been immensely powerful allowing HMF to better understand registrations and attendance numbers for upcoming events to allowing for more seamless event planning.
