With every one of Energia Group’s 1,100 employees offered the opportunity to volunteer twice a year, the business recognised the need for a centralised, easy-to-use software to manage the programme efficiently and engage more staff. Previously managed manually, the process had been challenging and time-consuming.

Following a review of a number of options, Rosterfy was selected based on its ease of use, cost-effectiveness, and scalability. Within just eight weeks of approval, Energia Group had implemented Rosterfy’s platform and already onboarded over 800 staff, all actively booking volunteer opportunities.
The platform has already proven to be a game-changer. With single sign-on, staff now have instant access to volunteering opportunities without relying on internal communications or manual updates. A custom volunteer portal allows employees to browse upcoming shifts, track their hours, and receive key updates - all in one place.

With volunteer hours now tracked automatically via check-in and check-out functionality, Energia Group has gained more accurate data and reporting - a key improvement from their former manual approach.
“Previously we were trying to count everything manually. Now it’s much more accurate and professional. Rosterfy is saving us time and giving us much more confidence.”
The implementation process, led by Rosterfy’s delivery team, received high praise. Weekly training sessions, fast responses to questions, and a structured rollout helped Energia Group develop internal expertise quickly.
“One of the most impressive things was the speed at which we were able to implement,” the Energia Group team shared. “And, any things I have come across since, I’ve emailed the helpline and had a really great response straight away.”

“Now everyone can see what’s going on and what’s available. We’re starting to see lots of new interactions and new volunteers coming forward. It’s something people were asking for.”
