End Overdose, a nonprofit organization dedicated to ending drug-related overdose deaths through education, medical intervention, and public awareness, is excited to announce the selection of Rosterfy as their new volunteer management platform. This partnership marks a significant step toward improving the efficiency, scalability, and impact of End Overdose’s volunteer operations across the nation.
End Overdose operates with over 500 volunteers across 50 chapters in the United States, focusing on equipping communities with the knowledge, training, and resources needed to prevent and respond to the overdose crisis. Their initiatives include distributing naloxone, test strips, and providing peer-to-peer education in a variety of settings, including schools, music festivals, community events, and online platforms. With the continued growth of their volunteer base and national chapters, End Overdose required a dedicated volunteer management solution to streamline volunteer onboarding, training, and communication, whilst enhancing the overall volunteer experience.
An intuitive and scalable platform

Before adopting Rosterfy, End Overdose relied on a Learning Management System (LMS) for volunteer onboarding and training. However, as they added hundreds of volunteers, the platform quickly proved inadequate for their growing needs. The old system struggled to keep pace, with challenges such as limited tracking of volunteer attendance, communication inefficiencies, and a lack of automation. These issues created mounting frustrations for both administrative staff and volunteers, particularly as the organization worked to scale its impact and manage an expanding team.

“Managing over 1,000 volunteers with an outdated system was limiting our ability to engage with our community and track meaningful participation,” continued Maddie. “Rosterfy will allow us to not only streamline onboarding and training but also keep a more detailed record of our volunteers' contributions. With many of our volunteer college students looking for relevant work experience, Rosterfy is going to really change the way we recognise and reward our volunteers, which in turn will deliver a more engaging and gratifying experience.”
End Overdose is also looking forward to replacing many of their manual processes with Rosterfy’s automations, particularly with regard to volunteer onboarding where automated communications will nurture volunteers from start to finish and help to convert more registered volunteers into active volunteers.
