Romalina Rocca Deputy Principal (K–12), Loreto Kirribilli

Romalina Rocca is an experienced educational leader with more than 26 years in education, including extensive experience at Loreto Kirribilli, a Catholic girls’ school in Sydney. She began her career as a Technological and Applied Studies (TAS) teacher in 2000 before becoming TAS Subject Coordinator, a role she held for eight years. From 2014 to 2022, Romalina served as Director of Student Wellbeing before moving into the role of Head of Senior School. Since 2023, she has been Deputy Principal (K–12), supporting the educational, wellbeing and pastoral needs of students across the school from Kindergarten through to Year 12.

In her current leadership role, Romalina also contributes to the school’s approach to community participation, volunteer engagement and compliance. Loreto Kirribilli uses a K–12 system to record and monitor extracurricular activities undertaken by teaching staff, providing a consistent framework for documenting participation and supporting appropriate compliance processes. The school is also preparing to extend this approach to parents, with a broader volunteer program planned for launch in 2027.

Romalina holds a Master of Education in Management and Human Resource Development from the University of Sydney. Her extensive experience in student wellbeing and school leadership has shaped her strong belief that a safe, connected and supportive school community is built through shared responsibility.

For Romalina, community involvement is an important part of school life. She believes that when staff, families and the wider community contribute their time, skills and experience, they create stronger connections around students and help foster a genuine sense of belonging. She sees effective volunteer engagement not simply as an additional resource for a school, but as an opportunity to strengthen relationships and build a community in which everyone feels valued and connected.
