Following an extensive search, Rosterfy has been selected as the volunteer management solution for the British Heart Foundation (BHF).

Rosterfy will partner with the BHF to digitise and streamline their volunteer management processes, enhance the volunteering experience, and improve operations across the BHF’s retail, fundraising, corporate and event volunteering programmes.

As the UK’s leading heart charity, the BHF raises money to fund vital research to help transform the lives of those 7.4 million people living with heart and circulatory diseases and save lives.

“Our volunteers play a vital role in raising funds for life saving research – without their passion and drive we wouldn’t have been able to fund scientific breakthroughs for 60 years. Not only do they support our fundraising events and retail operation, their support goes much further in raising awareness amongst local communities of the BHF’s cause”” said the BHF’s Head of Volunteers, Linda Fenn.

“With around 20,000 volunteers on our database and thousands more registering each year, we are extremely pleased to be implementing Rosterfy. We are truly thankful to all our volunteers who donate their time to us, we can’t wait to see this new system in action, as it will enable us to provide them with a more streamlined, efficient and engaging experience.”

Rosterfy will provide BHF with an online solution to enhance recruitment, screening, scheduling, onboarding, communication and engagement with volunteers.

“The team at Rosterfy is extremely humbled to be working alongside British Heart Foundation,” said Phillip Gbormittah, Head of Sales at Rosterfy. “The BHF team are some of the most incredible and passionate people I have come across when it comes to volunteering. They really have the finger on the pulse in understanding how to improve the volunteer journey and experience - we’re extremely excited to see this come to life.”

“We are increasingly seeing charities and other non-profit organisations embracing technology to manage their volunteer programmes and while systems like Rosterfy offer support to internal staff, more often than not it's the volunteer benefits that really drive the need for change. Ensuring that every step of the volunteer experience is considered, personal and professional is the key to providing a really engaging experience that is reflective of volunteer motivations, wants and needs.” Phil continued.

In line with government guidelines due to Covid-19, the BHF shops and stores have measures in place to keep staff, volunteers and customers safe. Rosterfy will also be utilised to ensure more meticulous planning and scheduling shifts, particularly with regard to BHF’s retail stores, to ensure volunteer safety and safeguarding are paramount.

Rosterfy will be helping the BHF to support all aspects of their volunteer programmes; from enhancing the onboarding and stewardship process and improving the advertisement of opportunities nationwide, through to the automation of recognising and thanking volunteers - all with the aim of delivering the world-class journey that their volunteers expect and deserve.
