2,000+ volunteers
Bradford 2025, the UK’s City of Culture, is delivering a year of culture, creativity, and arts shaped by one of the country’s youngest and most diverse populations.
With more than 2,000 volunteers registered and over 1,000 events across the district, the volunteer programme goes beyond event delivery. It aims to strengthen community belonging, empower local people, and ensure that Bradford’s cultural celebration is accessible to everyone.
To support this ambitious vision, Bradford 2025 uses Rosterfy as its core volunteer management platform. The result is a modern, inclusive and scalable programme that reflects the vibrancy and diversity of the district.

“They’ve loved it, they’ve really loved it. A lot of our volunteers haven’t been involved in a volunteer programme that’s so well organised. Rosterfy helped us do that.”
Bradford 2025 has built one of the UK’s most accessible, representative volunteer programmes, reflecting the richness of its communities and creating long-term opportunities for participation.
The Bradford 2025 volunteer programme is building more than event capacity. It is empowering local people, building confidence, developing new skills, and fostering a sense of belonging. With Rosterfy, Bradford 2025 is laying the foundations for long-term community participation that will continue long after the year of culture concludes.
