Who should be nominated?

Ideal candidates are programmes operating with over 200 volunteers that:

  • Create vibrant, inclusive, and purpose-driven experiences for volunteers
  • Recognise and celebrate volunteer contributions
  • Demonstrate measurable impact in their communities

 

Assessment Criteria:

  1. Community impact and outcomes
  2. Onboarding and training processes
  3. Volunteer reward and recognition methods
  4. Use of digital tools and continuous improvement practices

Who can nominate?

Anyone who is familiar with the nominee’s work — including peers, volunteers, managers or community members.

Can I nominate my own programme?

 Yes, self-nominations are accepted.

Can I nominate more than one person or programme?

Yes, multiple nominations are welcome. Please complete one form per nominee.

When are winners announced?

Award recipients will be recognised at the Volunteering New Zealand Conference on 9–10 October 2025.

Is there a fee to enter?

No, nominations are free of charge.
