Languages Supported in the Volunteer Portal

Rosterfy offers multiple language translations for the Volunteer Portal, which can be configured through the Admin Console and adjusted by users as needed.

 


Overview

Rosterfy offers multiple language translations for the Volunteer Portal, admins are able to configure which of the available languages they wish to make available to users.

Users are then able to swap between the languages easily within the Volunteer portal.

This article will you through all steps to get this set up and how users can utilise this feature.

Note: Language translations are available for some parts of the Volunteer Portal only, they are not available for the Admin Console, templates or the help desk.

 


Languages Available

We have a number of languages currently available:

  • English (AU, UK and US variations)
  • Arabic (اَلْعَرَبِيَّةُ)
  • Catalan
  • Dutch (Nederlands)
  • French (Français)
  • German (Deutsch)
  • Italian (Italiano)
  • Japanese (日本語) - Partial
  • Lithuanian (Lietuvių)
  • Polish (Polski)
  • Slovenian (Slovenščina) - Partial
  • Spanish (Español)

Note: Each language has additional location options, e.g. Français (Canada).

 


Updating Languages Offered to your Users

To offer additional languages to your users, you can update the Available Locales. Follow these easy steps to update this:

  1. In the Admin Console, navigate to Settings > Organization Settings,
  2. In the General tab, search or locate Available Locales.
  3. Click on the drop down list and scroll or type to locate the language you would like to add. 
  4. Once you have added all the locales applicable, click Save.

These languages will be instantly available to your users within the Volunteer Portal.

 


Changing Languages on the Volunteer Portal

To change the language for the Volunteer Portal, simply login and select the drop down at the top of the screen.

A list will drop down of all the locales that have been made available by the admins.
