Functional Areas can be used to organise users or different business units. This feature will allow you to approve those that can advance onto the role offer stage.
Navigate to the Headcount menu to access Functional Areas.
Step 1: Create Functional Areas
To create Functional Areas, follow the below steps:
- Enter the name of the functional area for the Admin Console, this will auto populate the name for the Code and for the Volunteer Portal, you can change these as needed.
- If you have created Functional Area types, you can select that here.
- Enter a target for the functional area (the number of people you need for this area).
- Choose any required training for the Functional Area.
- Select if the functional area auto updates, based on rules you set.
- Click Save.
Step 2: View & Accept Functional Area Users
Follow these simple steps to view and accept users for the Functional Area.
- Navigate to Headcount > Functional Areas.
- Search or locate the required Functional Area and click View Functional Area Users.
- Either click Run Auto Update to see viable users for the functional area, if applicable or click Manually Add a User to Functional Area.
- Update the status for the applicable users. (Note: Only users with Accepted status are eligible for Role Offers.
Step 3: Create Jobs within each Functional Area
The next step is to create Job Titles within each of the functional areas. Follow the below simple steps:
- Navigate to Headcount > Functional Areas.
- Search or locate the required Functional Area and click View Job Titles.
- Click Create.
- Enter the required information for the Job Title and click Save.
Step 4. Create Locations & Venues (Optional)
This step is optional, depending on whether you need to assign specific locations and venues to your role offers. If not, you can use the Default option.
- Navigate to Headcount > Locations, click Create.
- Enter the required information and click Save.
- Once you have created your Location, navigate back to Headcount > Locations.
- Locate your created Locations and click, View Venues.
- Click Create.
- Enter the required information and click Save.
Step 4. Create Role Offers
Once you have created your functional areas and job titles, you can then create the Role Offers.
